It's usually much better that the author post in HN. People expect to make to make technical questions and get answers directly, from the author. Specially if it's a "Show HN". https://news.ycombinator.com/showhn.html
Intriguing, but how will I know if this works? and would it just be 1 post on each of these sites once and I'd have to continuously pay?
