Ask HN: SF founders training for a boxing match – anyone want in?
We’re organizing a Founders Fight in San Francisco on May 2.
This is not an exhibition and not a gimmick. It’s a real boxing match, with real training, real stakes, and a crowd.
We’re looking for founders who want a hard challenge and are willing to train seriously starting by Feb 8. Boxing is unforgiving. You’ll get humbled fast. That’s the point.
Why do this? Most founders miss having something that’s purely physical, terrifying, and binary: you either show up prepared or you don’t. No pitch decks. No spin.
Details: – SF/Bay Area-based founders – Structured training program at The Park Gym – Matched opponents – May 2 fight night – Limited spots
If this sounds insane but compelling, you’re probably the right person.

That is a really dumb idea and is a good way to increase your chances of a neurological problem when you get older from those blows to the head.
Who do I get to punch? I’ve got a list.

What are the stakes?
Monetary stakes? Winner takes loser's startup?
Or the 'classic' buildup of combat sports where both athletes act cocky in the buildup and the loser looks very dumb in retrospect?
Also what's the drug and doping policy?
